Das Fehlen einer speziellen Patientenorganisation für Schlaganfallüberlebende in der Schweiz hat dazu geführt, dass eine öffentliche Veranstaltung zu diesem Thema durchgeführt wird. Andere Länder haben erfolgreich solche Organisationen gegründet, und es ist wichtig, dieses Thema aufzugreifen, um die Möglichkeit zu diskutieren, eine ähnliche Einrichtung in der Schweiz zu schaffen. Ziel dieser Veranstaltung ist es, die Bedeutung von Patientenorganisationen für Schlaganfallüberlebende hervorzuheben, Einblicke in den Prozess der Gründung einer solchen Organisation zu geben und eine Diskussion darüber zu führen, warum es in der Schweiz keine solche Organisation gibt und welche Schritte notwendig sind, um dies zu ändern.

The Swiss Society for Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology, the Swiss Society for Neuropsychology, the Swiss Society for Neurorehabilitation and the Swiss Society for Biological Psychiatry have developed a stimulating program including two keynote lectures, three interdisciplinary case discussions highlighting the neurological, neuropsychological, neurorehabilitation and psychiatric aspects of acquired brain injury, dementia and multiple sclerosis, and a Young Minds session providing the opportunity to the juniors to present their research projects. The program will cover neuropsychological, pharmacological and imaging approaches to cognition and behavior.
