Functional neurological disorders (FND)

Functional neurological disorders (FND) include a very diverse set of clinical conditions that often raised significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges.

Important progress has been achieved to better understand, recognize and manage these disorders. 

This interdisciplinary symposium aims at reviewing and disseminating the state-of-the-art knowledge in the field, addressing all major types of FND, their neurobiological and psychosocial pathophysiology, clinical characteristics and treatment approaches.

"Querschnittlähmung: Anspruch-Wirklichkeit-Chance" ein. Gemeinsam möchten wir die aktuellen Herausforderungen und Möglichkeiten in der Paraplegiologie erkunden.

Unsere tägliche Arbeit zielt darauf ab, Menschen mit Querschnittlähmung größtmögliche Selbstständigkeit und Unabhängigkeit zu ermöglichen. Dennoch sehen wir uns heute mit neuen sozialen und palliativen Herausforderungen sowie einem Mangel an Ressourcen wie Fachpersonal, Pflegediensten und Einrichtungskapazitäten konfrontiert.

Unter diesen Bedingungen stellen wir uns wichtige Fragen: Sind unsere therapeutischen Ansprüche noch realistisch? Müssen wir uns den "neuen Zeiten" anpassen, und wenn ja, welche Optionen stehen uns zur Verfügung?

The «SNS Academy» is directed to assistants in Neurology and the workshops are also excellent refreshers for specialists, who are warmly invited to join.

The Academy consists of 3 conferences which are spread over a three-year period. Each of the three-day conferences (from Thursday until Saturday) focuses on one specific topic and provides the participants with advanced training and education.
